CBO awards $480,000 in two new grants to New Hope
The Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners recently presented two incredibly generous grant awards to New Hope CORPS. These grants were awarded to Community-Based Organizations (CBO). These grants are what is called “competitive” grants. This means that New Hope was among a large group of applicants applying for the same pool of available funds. The CBO grant committee recognized the need for New Hope’s services, its stellar track record, and its capacity to provide high-level services to homeless and indigent populations in Miami-Dade County.
These two grants are paid out through a three-year contract with New Hope. One grant is for $350,000 for our Residential Treatment programs and the other is for $98,000 to provide outpatient services. All New Hope services paid for by the grants will be provided to homeless and indigent individuals with substance-abuse problems and/or mental health issues.
This award is a testament to New Hope’s well-respected reputation and history of successful graduates.
