Miami Foundation donated $33,802 to provide Outpatient Substance Abuse Treatment
The Miami Foundation awarded a $33,802 State Attorney’s Fund for a Safer and Healthier Community grant to New Hope’s Back on Track DUI Program (NH-BOT). The program will provide comprehensive outpatient substance abuse treatment services to adult males and females (18+) who are in need for treatment to comply with court requirements due to a DUI arrest. Beneficiaries are referred by the Advocate/ Court programs.
For 24+ years, New Hope has offered substance abuse and mental health treatment to adult males with SA diagnosis who are involved with DUI/Drug Court, veterans, suffering from HIV/AIDS and/or referred by Marchman Act Court and/or homeless. New Hope provides treatment to approximately 740 clients annually, inclusive of outpatient, and residential SA treatment, transitional housing, DUI treatment, HIV/AIDS testing counseling, job counseling/placement, targeted case management and prevention/intervention services. Participants enter the program via referrals from The Advocate Program, Chapman Partnership, Miami-Dade Homeless Outreach and a cadre of community-based organizations who work with us to provide a full continuum of care.
